Dee Snider from Twister Sister has an amazing Christmas show in Chicago this year! It’s called Rock & Roll Christmas Tale. The show is at Broadway Playhouse. It was an amazing show filled with fabulous Rock and Roll!
First, you walk into Broadway Playhouse’s theatre! Amazing theatre. It was my first experience in this theatre. It’s an intimate theater where you honestly have a fabulous seat from anywhere in the theatre. My date and I grabbed a drink before the show. Everyone was fantastic was great Christmas cheer!
It was 5 minutes to show time, so we grabbed out seats. We sat in the middle of the theatre, which like I said you have a great seat no matter where you are. Dee Snider came out and the theatre went crazy! Dee was the narrator for the show itself. Although Dee is not an experienced Broadway actor, I thought he did a great job! It was a tale about a struggling rock band, trying to make it around the Christmas time. They made a deal with “Satan,” or was it “Santa?” It was honestly a cute show for the kids (mostly boys would love it, especially boys that love a little Rock and Roll), but the band was amazing and Dee chimed in and sung with them a few times as well! I actually saw a variety of all ages at the show from kids that looked to be around 6 to elderly couples that looked to be in about their 80’s. The gentleman next to me was streaming Dee’s name the entire time. The audience seemed to be having a blast the entire time.
It had a cute little love story twist, with the character Ralph and Suzette. It was a cute tale filled with amazing Christmas music. I do have to be 100% honest. I wasn’t a huge Rock and Roll fan before, but Dee completely changed my view. I thought the music was strong, amazing and had a touching Christmas feel. It had humor, amazing music and a cute Christmas tale.
I had the pleasure of meeting Dee after the show. He was extremely kind, giving and took the time to speak to a handful of people. I told him what an amazing show it was and gave him a giant Christmas hug! I hope Dee comes back to Chicago next year because this is a show I would definitely see again.
Check out the Rock and Roll Christmas Tale’s Facebook page! This is the last week of shows and I highly recommend that you go see it for an unforgettable experience! Definitely go see this memorable show before it’s gone!
