I recently went to Taphouse in Wheeling, IL and I am SO glad I did. From walking in to walking out, the staff was attentive and our server MaryAnne was so amazing and sweet. Taphouse in Wheeling is attached to a hotel and under some renovation, but honestly you would never know. It was so delicious. What began in the fall of 2005 as a dream of bringing together fresh, made from scratch “addictive” food alongside a large selection of local “creative” handcrafted, exclusive and rare beers on tap is today a reality at Tap House Grill.
We started out with drinks. I had the Watermelon Berry Press drink. It was so fresh and delicious. It truly was one of my favorite drinks ever! Go grab one. You won’t be disappointed. They also have over 50 beers on tap! My recommendations? App- the quesadillas. They were ummm the best ever!! Double decker of heaven is what I think it should be called. The peppers were a perfect touch! I got the margarita flatbread. It was good, but truthfully, I could eat the quesadillas as a mean. The burgers are also mouth watering and all the ingredients are so fresh and complement each other perfectly. Check out a picture of the soup below. Hearty ingredients and so delightful! Now, let’s move onto the desserts! The homemade Kit-Kat bar was my absolute favorite!! Must have on your next stop there!
Tap House Grill currently operates 8 locations including Wheeling, Des Plaines, Hanover Park, Lemont, Oswego, Palatine and St. Charles. They have different specials throughout the week. Definitely check them out. $5.99 burger night is a great deal and I truly haven’t had something I didn’t like.
